“I don’t have any plans of becoming the president of MUSIGA. I have never thought of that. This is what I have been saying: I think somebody outside the musicians [union] should be the president”, he said.

“Someone who has a business IQ, somebody who knows how to organise [should be the president]. I think we should look for such people, not musicians”, he suggested.

The “Moesha” crooner also revealed that the fact one is a successful musician doesn’t guarantee a successful leadership role at MUSIGA.

“The fact that someone has been successful in music doesn’t mean that person should be the president; that is what I believe. Someone outside should be the president”, he opined.
