Menzgold Ghana has issued a defiance letter in the wake of a directive by the Security Exchange Commission (SEC) ordering the gold dealing firm to shut down with immediate effect.
In a press statement released by the company, Menzgold Ghana insisted that they are opened for business and as has not shut down for any reason.
The company also accused SEC of leaking a confidential letter while the two sides are still at the negotiating table trying to find an amicable solution to issues that persist in their operations.
The management of the firm concluding the letter said it was referring the matter to the lawyers of the firm to take the appropriate steps needed while also giving a strong assurance to the general public that Menzgold will not be shut down and has not been shut down as reported by a section of the media.
It is yet to be seen what the response of SEC will be regarding Menzgold’s defiance letter.
