After winning the Grammy Awards for the Global Album of the Year at the just-ended 63rd Grammy Premiere Awards ceremony, Burna Boy also took the stage.
The singer gave viewers of the show, which was held virtually, a brief fun performance after his win, and he was definitely in all the right moods.
Burna Boy performed three songs on the night; Level Up, Onyeka and Ye, all at three different scenes.
The award, which Burna won last night, for his album, “Twice As Tall“, is his very first Grammy award which now makes him a Grammy award-winning artist.
It was however not the first time he had been nominated for the Grammys. He was also nominated in the same category last year but Angelique Kidjo beat him and others to win it.
Following his win, Burna Boy dedicated his award to Africans all over the world, saying, it is a big win for Africans.
This is a big win for my generation of Africans all over the world”, he said and went on to encourage Africans all over the world to never give up and believe they can also achieve it because they are Kings.
