Hip life rapper Nii Addo Quaynor a.k.a Tinny thinks he deserved a nomination in the artist of the decade category at this year’s VGMA because he has really worked hard for the past 10 years.

The VGMAs celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and in addition to all the usual awards, one category was added to reward the best artiste in the country over the past ten years.

The artiste of the decade for the 20th VGMA is being keenly contested by Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, Efya, Becca, Nacee and No Tribe and Joe Mettle.

In an interview with Dr Pounds of Accra-based Hitz FM on Friday, Tinny made the submission that looking at what he has done past 10 years, he should have been nominated in such category.

He further added that although he didn’t see his name in the list, he wasn’t surprised and didn’t allow it to bother him because it wasn’t the first time he has gone through that as an artist.

“Nothing came in mind. Maybe its because I speak the truth,” he said.

According to the ‘Aletse Kankpe’ hitmaker, he has been receiving messages from people who have followed his music over the years asking him why he wasn’t part of the nominations and he has no better answers for them rather than to say it doesn’t bother him because at the end of the day it’s a game.

He further stated that he wouldn’t go on social media to blast the organizers he isn’t that type of person.
