Salah named one of the world’s most influential people by Time magazine

Egypt and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.

Salah caught the world’s attention last year with English giants Liverpool when he enjoyed a breakthrough season scoring 44 goals in the 2017/2018 campaign and helping his club reach the Champions League final.

Salah is currently enjoying a good season with Liverpool as they chase the Premier League title and a place in the Champions League final

The 26-year-old was also very influential in Egypt’s qualification to the World Cup Finals in Russia for the first time in 28 years.

Salah admitted to feeling a little bit of pressure that came with being a role model but that made him proud and always pushed him to be a better footballer.

“To be the first Egyptian in this situation and no one has done this before, it’s something different”. He stated.

Salah is one of the five sports people on the list alongside Tiger Woods (golf), LeBron James (basketball), Caster Semenya (athletics) and Alex Morgan (football).
