Reliable information reaching asembi.com indicates that Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) is on the hunt for Menzgold CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah to answer some questions pertaining to his gold-dealing company Menzgold.
According to sources, EOCO has been looking for Nana Appiah Mensah to answer questions for a while now but all attempts to reach the business man had proven futile.
The source explained that several notices of invitation had been sent to the Menzgold CEO but unfortunately he is yet to honour any of the invitations.
“Nana Appiah Mensah has not heard the last of EOCO, we are still persuing him and will force him to appear before EOCO to answer questions concerning the activities of Menzgold,” the source reportedly told Starr FM.
Earlier this week, the Bank of Ghana issued another press release cautioning the public to desist from doing business with the gold dealing company over what they say is an illegal operation of the firm as they did not have the required licensed to operate.
Nana Appiah Mensah took to social media to call the bluff of the BoG insisting that his company is doing nothing illegal as claimed.
The situation has however caught the attention of EOCO who are now looking for Nana Appiah Mensah as they also suspect Menzgold to be involved in some sort of irregularities.
