There are reports in the media that several Members of Parliament (MPs) invested with the embattled gold firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited.

Unconfirmed information reaching Asembi.com indicate that the gold dealer plans to pay these MPs and other politicians their investments this week.

Names that have popped up so far include Sam George (MP for Ningo Prampram), Freddie Blay (National Chairman of NPP) and Sammy Awuku (National Organiser of NPP).

Another lucky person to join the politcians to receive their investments if the information gathered happen to be true is former High Court judge Justice Ajet Nassam. Justice Nassam was one of the judges mired in Anas’ expose in the judicial service. According to Anas, he collected GHS 16,000 bribe. Could it be that he invested the money with Menzgold?

Menzgold has however denied putting such plans in place to pay off only the politicians. The gold dealer told Asembi.com that the company has no such plans and that members “will be paid per a new final schedule yet to be issued”.
