Former Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) president Jose Maria Marin has been given life ban by FIFA from all football related activities.

He was involved in a lot of corrupt practices in relations to media and marketing rights to various tournaments including the Copa America.

In 2018, the 86-year-old was sentenced to four years in prison for racketeering and corruption offenses after the US investigation into corruption at FIFA.

The adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee on Monday announced that Marin was found guilty and had violated the Code of Ethics.

FIFA’s decision has been communicated to Marin and he has been ordered to pay a fine of £760,000.
