Hip-life rapper Guru has revealed that no Ghanaian artiste has ever recorded an album that is having more songs than his latest “Journey Of Judah” album which has 34 tracks.
In recent interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central’s Central Dryve monitored by Wyse Brain, he spoke more of how the album came about and the record it has set in Ghana.
“It hasn’t happened before since Kwame Nkrumah won independence for Ghana. I haven’t heard any artiste has released a double album before, officially this is double album. This particular album is grouped into two, half which is 17 tracks is strictly hip hop, that reminds you old days Guru and other 17 tracks is today’s Guru. It’s 17/17 including the intro making it 35 so its a special album for the fans”, he said.
Amansan Krakye went on to inquire the duration he used in producing the 34-track album.
“For two months I was able to record 24 songs. I don’t sleep, everyday I write and record songs. I don’t remember the last time I slept. Its about music, recording and writing every blessed day of my life. So its not a surprise because everyday I can record about 4 songs. Am a freestyle artiste”, he added.
Guru’s new 34-track album titled “Journey Of Judah” was released few weeks ago featured Sarkodie, Medikal, Efya, KK Fosu, Harry Songs, Ofori Amponsah and other musicians.
