The Sarkcess music boss came under severe criticisms recently in relation to his perceived refusal to promote local talents in his home country but rather promoting Nigerian music over his own.

Recently, every post made by the music legend is met with harsh comments on how he is an arrogant and selfish artiste. Sarkodie debug this assertion on Hitz FM and explained how his relationship with Nigerian artistes was established.

“I am not wrong in posting Peter of P -Square project on my Instagram page. It took me a long time and hard work for Nigerians to embrace me and it took the affiliation of their artistes and P-Square is one of those artistes. I nearly gave up on going to Nigeria for shows.” – Sarkodie said.

According to the Original hitmaker, almost all the Nigerian collaborations he had were not paid for but they happen after the artistes reached out to him and were purely strategic collaborations.

He also stated that P-Square came all the way from Nigeria to his wedding without an invitation. He came only to surprise him and so he is not wrong in any way for sharing his latest project on Instagram.

Sarkodie also stated that he would love to work with the Zylofon Media boss, Nana Appiah Mensah in the near future and that the music industry needs more of Nana Appiah in order to blow out.
