Ghana’s Most beautiful is one of those reality shows that have assumed a national identity. What started as an initiative of a media organization in 2007 has assumed a “national asset” status warranting the interest of certain Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.
Various Chiefs across the length and breadth of Ghana have also shown tremendous interest in the reality show that aims at celebrating not only beauty but intelligence, the display of cultural knowledge, patriotism and creativity.
The names of participants of the first edition will continue to be remembered albeit the usual mistakes of a maiden episode of any event.
The winner of the 2007 maiden edition was Ama from the Central Region.
Her win attracted serious reservations from entertainment pundits as many though she did not merit the award for the night because she could not recite the national pledge correctly.
Esinu from the Volta Region was second. Even though many pundits expected her to win because of her oratory prowess and excellent command over the English Language above her peers especially the overall winner.
Adjoa from the Ashanti Region placed third.
While Nana from the Eastern Region placed fourth.
