Takoradi’s darling boy and one of the nation’s finest Martin King Arthur popularly known as Kofi Kinaata has revealed he used to do music for the ‘entertainment’ and fun of it.
The multiple award musician who joined Samini’s High Grade Family in 2013 in an exclusive interview with NY DJ on BTM Afrika revealed his main interest was football although he used to write music for friends.
“I used to write stuff for my friends who would claim all the ‘fans’ at various events. They always came back asking for me. I knew I would sing but I was prepared at the time. I was taken by surprise…” Kof Kinaata said.
Now, what called for the change? Kofi Kinaata could simply not afford football boots hence switching to music where he didn’t have to buy microphones.
What about the girls? Kof Kinaata laughed it off saying that was not a focus and that he almost enrolled to be a ‘Roman Father’
Currently one of the most sought after musicians in the country, Kofi Kinaata parted ways with High Grade Family after 5 years. With an impressive music catalogue, he works as an independent artist now with a great team.
