Manchester City and Argentina Forward Sergio Aguero has picked National team mate Lionel Messi to win Ballon d’Or
The 31-year-old controversially finished fifth in the voting for the Ballon d’Or last year but Aguero believes he deserves the honour this year.

Messi has won the award five-times and looks set to win the sixth one though Barcelona crashed out of the Champions League to Liverpool in the semi-finals.

Aguero who initially indicated the next Ballon d’Or winner has to be in the Champions League final took to Social media to clarify his statement.
“I don’t enjoy having to clarify my statements but when I’m quoted for things I haven’t said, it must be done,”

“I’ll spell it out then. No one other than Messi will be my pick for the Ballon d’Or as long as he keeps on playing particularly if he plays like he did this season.’’He posted on Twitter.
Messi has already won the La Liga title with Barcelona this season.
