Provisional results of 133,986 candidates who sat for the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates have been released by West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

2,160 candidates have had their entire results withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into cases of examination malpractices.

“The withheld results will be released as soon as the council concludes investigations. Candidates may access their results online at www.waecgh.org,” a statement signed by Agnes Teye-Cudhoe, Deputy Director Public Affairs WAEC National Office said.

“Members of the public are assured that the council’s results database is well secured. As such, all forged results can be detected by the confirmation or verification system.

“Institutions and organisations are advised to confirm or verify results presented to them directly from the council or access the confirmation/verification online at the WAEC website,” it added.
